POINT LOMA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY
Course Description: Completion of basic grammar; readings from the New
Testament (PLNU Catalogue).
Course Objectives:
(1) To acquire a beginning understanding of Greek grammar;
(2) To acquire a preliminary vocabulary of the Greek New Testament; and
(3) To fall in love with the Greek New Testament.

(2) Bruce Metzger, Lexical Aids for Students of NT Greek
(3) Tim & Barbara Friberg, Analytical Greek New Testament(recommended)
(4) William Mounce, Basics of Biblical Greek Workbook
Course Requirements:
(1) To master the vocabulary which appears in Greek NT 50 times or more;
(2) To learn elementary Greek grammar;
(3) To complete required translations in the workbook;
(4) To attend class faithfully;
(5) To take assigned tests & quizzes; and
(6) To study six hours per week outside of class

in this class.

Due Dates and Late Work:
All work is due at class time and must be submitted during the class session. Only two assignments may be graded outside of class. Under no circumstances will any work be accepted after the time of the final exam.
Attendance Policy:
Consistent attendance is essential to learning in this class. Quizzes will be given daily and no make-up quizzes will be given.
