Martin Luther's 95 Theses

On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses on the door of the Wittenburg Cathedral and hammered into place the legacy of the Protestant Reformation.  These theses outline Luther's primary objections to the Catholic Church as it existed in the 16th century.  His defense of these positions resulted in his excommunication from the Catholic Church and the eventual rise of the Protestant traditions.
