Justin Martyr
The writings of this second century thinker are important because they represent some of the second century's most sophisticated attempts to bring together the Christian faith and Greek philosophy. Justin represents the tradition in early Christianity which sought to breach the gap between Christian convictions and Greco-Roman culture. He attempts this project by presenting the Christian faith as completely compatible with the best of Greek philosophy.
