Epistle to Diognetus

This second century document is attributed to a "disciple" and falls into the second century genre of letters (like the so-called correspondence between Paul and Seneca) designed to make the emerging Christian faith attractive to the Roman world.  This represents a common type of literature, but is somewhat unique in its lack of attribution to any prominent Christian or Roman thinker.
