Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles

This document is the probably the latest of the major apocryphal Acts, dating from late third century.  The text likely is a compilation of several different traditions focusing on a number of different characters, including Jesus, a pearl merchant and Lithargoel.  The three figures eventually merge into a single figure.

In this document, Christianity is equated with a life of poverty.  It is among the most ascetic of all early Christian documents.
