The Acts of John

    This document is the most clearly Gnostic of the apocryphal Acts.
  It probably dates from the late second to mid-third century.
  One of the most interesting features of this text is its recurring resurrection motif.
  Several people are the recipients of John's healing ministry
and are raised from the dead. 
At points, the text is nearly incomprehensible
in its esoteric Gnostic theology.
